In just two years, Tiny Atlas Quarterly grew from a seed planted in the mind and heart of Oakland photographer Emily Nathan.

A leading travel and lifestyle publication. Instagram hashtag is currently #. #mytinyatlas More than 1.7 millions submissions have been received, and photographers from all over the globe are vying to get a spot on the Tiny Atlas Quarterly Feed .

Nathan didn’t want to stop at the publication of Tiny Atlas Quarterly, a publication primarily for photographers by other photographers. She wanted to engage with the community that she had built in order to discover new and easier ways of making beautiful photographs.

Tiny Atlas celebrates photographers who explore unexplored places and capture extraordinary sights. Tiny Atlas team has created photo exhibitions using images from the community, and planned trips for photographers.

They’ve now created a camera case, based on the feedback from countless photographers. Alite Designs collaborated with SOLAS to create the bag . It went through several incarnations before it was perfected.

Travel photographers have struggled to find a bag that is suitable for their needs. The bags that are available can be bulky, difficult to carry and, well, ugly. It’s designed with the same elegance, sophistication, and style as Tiny Atlas, and offers compartments that are safe for laptops and lenses, smartphones, sunglasses, etc. The bag can be used as a tote or transformed into a shoulder or backpack bag.

The SOLAS camera bag has already received more than 120 supporters on Kickstart. It is exactly what photographers have asked for.

The show was curated by Nathan and picture editor Cory Jacobs from Instagram images submitted using the tag a href=”https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/mytinyatlasSOLAS/”>#mytinyatlasSOLAS,/a> with the theme being ‘travel’ and light (“solas” means “light” in Irish Gaelic). The show was curated from Instagram photos submitted with the hashtag #mytinyatlasSOLAS. The theme of the exhibition was travel, and light (solas means “light” to Irish Gaelic).

Tiny Atlas is hosting a preview of the show for free on Thursday, September 15, from 6-8 PM. The show runs from September 15th through the 18th. Visit the campaign to learn more about SOLAS.
